WATERBURY, CT – Webster Bank today announced it is donating $100,000 to all Feeding America partners across our footprint to help provide meals to those most in need during the COVID-19 outbreak. This donation will assist these partners in maintaining and increasing food distribution in the coming weeks.

The Feeding America partners receiving funds are: Connecticut Food Bank, FoodShare in Hartford, Greater Boston Food Bank, Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, Rhode Island Food Bank, Feeding Westchester, City Harvest (New York City), Food Bank for New York City, Philabundance (Philadelphia), Capital Area Food Bank (Washington, D.C.), Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin and Sheboygan County Food Bank (Wisconsin).

“We know that our residents of the communities where we live and work are facing unprecedented challenges keeping food on the table during these uncertain times,” said Kathryn Luria, senior vice president, Director of Philanthropy and Community Affairs. “These Feeding America partners will put these dollars to work to make an immediate impact.”

These funds are part of Webster’s commitment of $250,000 to support nonprofits providing critical services to those affected by the COVID-19 outbreak across the bank’s footprint and in Wisconsin, home of Webster’s HSA Bank division.
