Stamford, CT – Superintendent Dr. Tamu Lucero, along with Mayor David Martin, announced today that all Stamford Public Schools will continue providing education to students via Distance Teaching and Learning through the end of the scheduled school year. The last scheduled day for students is June 15, 2020.

This decision is in keeping with Connecticut Governor Lamont’s recent announcement regarding closures due to the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency in Connecticut.

“While we never imagined we would end our school year in a remote learning environment, this decision is in the best interest of the safety and health of our staff, students and entire community,” said Dr. Tamu Lucero, Superintendent Stamford Public Schools.  “The good news is that we have already begun working with our school communities to develop plans to support our Senior Class, as well as those students who would traditionally be celebrating moving up ceremonies.”
