Stamford Delegation congratulates AITE teacher Danielle Weber on winning national award

The Stamford Delegation would like to recognize Danielle Weber, a teacher at the Academy of Information Technology and Engineering (AITE) for being named the 2021-22 Project Lead The Way National Biomedical Science Teacher of the Year.

Project Lead The Way (PLTW) is a mission-driven organization that is transforming the learning experience for millions of PreK-12 students as well as thousands of teachers across the United States.

The award recognizes educators who demonstrate a strong record of delivering an inspiring and empowering student experience, expanding access to PLTW programs, and transforming teaching.

Danielle Weber, who has been teaching for 15 years, 10 years with PLTW, was chosen among nominations received from around the country.

“I want to extend a huge congratulations to Ms. Weber for her hard work and years of dedication to our youth,” said Senator Patricia Billie Miller (D-27th District). “She is not only a tremendous teacher but also a role model to our students who hope to pursue a career in biomedical science. Ms. Weber is a great mentor and we are lucky to have her in Stamford.”

“We congratulate Danielle on this outstanding achievement,” said Sen. Ryan Fazio (R-36th). “Her efforts inspire us all, and her skills are helping to mold our state’s future leaders. We wish Danielle nothing but continued success, and we thank her for choosing teaching as a profession.”

“I would like to congratulate Danielle Weber on this amazing honor and for a job well done, especially under the unprecedented challenges we’re living under now,” State Representative Dan Fox (D-148th) said. “I would also like to thank Ms. Weber for providing Stamford students with an inspiring, positive experience in the classroom they will likely never forget while preparing them for the future.”

She has touched countless lives, and our community is so much better for it.”

“Teachers have such an invaluable role in preparing children to face the world with the problems we are leaving them with, it is particularly satisfying knowing teachers such as Ms. Weber are out there fighting for children to be prepared and strong for tomorrow,” said State Rep. David Michel (D-146th).

“Congratulations to Danielle for her outstanding leadership in the classroom and beyond. Through her innovative teaching style, she has not only prepared her students for fulfilling careers but has helped inspire and empower them to reach their full potential and give back to their communities. This recognition is well-deserved,” State Rep. Corey Paris (D-145th) said.
