Stamford, CT – Stamford Public Schools (SPS) recently restructured its Substitute Teacher compensation package, to include an increased daily rate, as well as an opportunity for a bonus incentive for those who work consistently.
In an effort to attract more substitute teachers to the district, in an ever more competitive market, SPS has increased the daily rate for substitute teachers to $105 per day. Those who choose to work 80% of the school days in any one month, will also be eligible for an additional $20 per day.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or have a high school diploma as well as experience working with school-aged children. Substitute teachers who work for SPS have the flexibility to choose the days they want to work, making it ideal for those who need flexibility in their working schedule.
