Bark in the Park this Sunday, May 22, in Stamford

Stamford, CT – This Sunday, May 22, Dogtopia Stamford presents Bark in the Park in partnership with Spot On Veterinary Hospital & Hotel. This will be a special day for our four-legged friends. All friendly, well-behaved leashed dogs are welcome. Enjoy lots of activities to keep families and their pets entertained including: demonstrations, agility course, fun contests, adoption area, free microchip clinic, photo booth, splash zone, treat bar, pet licensing, blessing of the animals, pet vendors, door prize giveaways and more!

The event will be held on Sunday, May 22 from 11am – 3pm in Latham Park on Bedford Street.

12pm Does your dog have the “Right Stuff” to be a therapy dog?

Join Neil Cohen and K9 Caring Angels to explore the opportunities for therapy dog certification.

12:30pm: Blessing of the Animals

1:00pm: Pie Eating Contest

1:15pm: Best Trick Contest

1:30pm: Costume Contest

The event is FREE, but the organizers from the Stamford Downtown Special Services District encourage everyone to bring a cash donation or item to donate to animals in need. Items collected will be distributed between the participating rescue groups. Suggested items include: Canned Food, Pill Pockets, Chew toys, martingale collars, frontline, heartgard and leashes.

Directions: From Route 95 take Exit 8.
